Winter around here always seems to be a gloomy season. We’re lucky to see sun one day a week, and that’s IF we are lucky. So, when there’s no sun it’s hard to feel “good”. I’ve started trying to give myself a little glow through the winter just to help brighten me up and hopefully my mood. The Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops have been a favorite for two winters now because of how easy it is to use and the great color.
I was always scared of self tanner in the past and afraid that I’d turn out like a zebra or an orange. Gone are my days of the tanning bed, I definitely had too many of them in the years past! Of course, I was influenced on the tanning drops and decided to give them a try.
I’m not picky with my lotion that I use. Any daily lotion will do the job. One thing I’ve learned is by giving myself a “glow” once a week, it’s helped force myself use lotion a tad bit more.
Step One:
Shave and exfoliate a day before tanning. I just use a loofa and do an extra scrub in the shower.
Step Two:
Remove all jewelry before applying lotion and tanning drops.
Step Three:
Grab a good moisturizer and your tanning drops. I buy the medium color and apply about 10 drops per 2 pumps of lotion. Start with your long limbs and work your way in. When applying to the face, I only use about 2 drops with a pump of my moisturizer.
Step Five:
Wait 18-24 hours to shower. When showering, don’t scrub roughly, and try to limit shaving. Use lotion daily to extend the life of your tan. I typically do the process one day a week.
Now, if you’re looking for a tan for a special occasion I recommend something a little more along the lines of this. It will give you instant dark color. But, for that winter glow… these drops are perfect!
Now, get your glow on…
