Football season is officially here, which means my weekends now belong to the bleachers. Friday night lights, Saturday kickoffs, Sunday on the couch yelling at a team that cannot hear me. The dress code for all of it is the same: warm, comfortable, and cute enough that I don’t regret it when someone takes a picture.

So this week is all game day outfits. Graphic sweatshirts, easy jeans, sneakers you can stand in for three hours, and football earrings doing most of the work. There are also looks for basketball, wrestling, baseball and dance comp, for the sports moms whose season doesn’t happen on a football field. A royal blue tweed jacket with gold buttons is my answer to team colors when I’m not in the mood for a slogan. A plain white tee, black wide leg jeans, and yellow sneakers keep it easy enough for the bleachers. Add a gold necklace and a few bracelets and it looks like you planned it.

It’s my favorite kind of game day outfit, the kind that works in the stands and at dinner after, and nobody needs to know you got dressed in four minutes.
