Anyone else struggle with gift ideas for the kids teachers? Lets face it, during the school year our kids spend more time during the day with their teachers than they do us. When you think about it like that, they deserve much more than we can give them!

With having three kids in school this year, I understand buying for the teachers can hit the wallet a bit hard. But, after talking to a few teacher friends, it’s truly the thought that counts. I’m sharing some ideas of things I’ve bought in the past, things I’ve bought this year and a few ideas from some teachers that they enjoy receiving!

Candle – A candle is definitely a go to gift where I feel is generally a safe bet. This one stuck out to me because I felt it’s a scent that a male or female teacher may enjoy. We all know Chip & Joanna know what they are doing.

Canteen – I grabbed a few of these last year. Did you know you can fit an entire bottle of wine in them?? They will keep drinks chilled all day. I get mine from the local boutique here in town where they even wrap them up all nice and beautiful. So if you are local, stop by The Fashion Shoppe on High Street and check out their selection. If not, you can find them here.

Scarf – Help keep their teacher warm and still looking good this winter with this buffalo plaid scarf. It’s even under $15!

Hand Soap & Lotion – We know the germs are at an all time high at school in the winter. Pass along some great soap and lotion for the teachers constant hand washing at school.

Personalized Wine – I absolutely love this gift idea. The personalized wine label completely takes the cake. What says Merry Christmas more than booze?? I only ask that the teachers return the favor after break when we send the kids back to school. *Check with your school district before sending alcohol to school. Even though its a gift, I found out it’s still against school rules here for any alcohol to be on school property*

Coffee Mug – Give their teacher a cup of happy that’s monogrammed with their initial.

Holiday Tin – Candy tins or nut tins are a great inexpensive gift go to. Whether they love them for themselves or just to keep them around for their holiday company.

Mystery Tackle Box – This was something my son got this year for his birthday and he loves it. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. If you know their teacher is an outdoors guy this is a great option.

Whiskey Wedge – I came across these the other day at The Fashion Shoppe and picked them up for not only a guy teacher that may like it but also my dad!

Gift Cards – This was one of the top gifts mentioned when I asked a few teachers what their favorite gift was to receive. Whether it be for food or coffee, you can’t go wrong!

Bangle Bracelet – This is another gift idea that was mentioned by a teacher that they loved. I feel all ladies love jewelry, and something as simplistic as an Alex and Ani bangle is a great route to take!

Hopefully this gift guide helped get your wheels spinning on what to grab for the kids teachers this year. If you’re a teacher and have some great gift ideas you’ve received please leave them in the comments! Happy Shopping!
