My preference jeans wise when styling a pair of chelsea boots is pairing them with a cropped ankle length. A pair that hit at just the top of the boot is perfect for me.

Don’t worry my legging loving friends, you can still wear chelsea boots with your favorite leggings! While I prefer to style them with a cozy sweater, you could definitely go the route of a pair of leggings, tunic tee and coatigan.

With this jeans and boot combo I’d like to call it a little more on the trendier side. I was a little hesitant to roll my straight leg jeans like this being almost 40 (because let’s face it I feel like it’s how the 15-25 year olds would wear them) but after putting it together I kind of liked it. Sometimes thinking outside the style box isn’t so bad after all. This style is going to be great for women with shorter legs. You’re not going to see the cut lines as you would with cropped jean styles.

Layers can be our best friend! Especially when they are neutrals. I’m 5’3″ and I feel I’m pretty proportionate in my height. If you have shorter legs, you aren’t going to want to wear cropped jeans like these with your chelsea boots. They’ll make you appear even shorter. Go for a pair like the Levi’s above so you don’t see the “line” that’s basically chopping the legs.
