Are you ready to rumble?? I know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale gets so much hype and it’s not for everyone but it’s one of my favorite times to shop! It’s hard to beat snagging new denim, sweaters and all the other fall favorites up to 40% off. I’ll be 100% transparent and say that the first year I shopped I went a tad bit overboard… Now I like to go for the pieces that and brands that I know rarely go on sale. Last year I treated myself to a Michele watch because they NEVER go on sale and it covered all of Andrew’s gift-giving for the year. 😉
When do I get to shop?
Things are going a little differently this year. Usually, Nordstrom sends out a look book showcasing the sale, however this year they are starting preview days which begins Friday, July 24th at midnight. Now, you can’t add all the goodies to your cart yet, but you can add them all to a wishlist! Dates to begin shopping depend on whether you’re a cardholder or not and how many points you’ve racked up. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of having a card for multiple places but Nordstrom and Target are the only stores I have committed to having cards for.
Is it really worth it?
Within the past 5 years is when I started shopping at Nordstrom. In all honestly I thought it was a department store that you wouldn’t find anything under $200. Umm, raising my hand because I was very wrong! I’ve bought tops there for the same price as things I’ve found at Target and Walmart.
However, I do feel shopping the anniversary sale is worth it because you’re snagging booties, jeans, sweaters at reduced prices before the season even starts instead of having to wait till after the season to find things on sale.
Where do I find your recommendations?
Up until the sale day you can bookmark this blog post because I’ll continue adding my picks that I find from the preview right here for you to find. When I shop the sale I start with shopping for myself first (because Mama needs new shoes), then hit up the kids section and snag a few things for Andrew!
