I’m always a sucker for new shoes [just ask my husband] but when I can snag the cutest booties for the next season already on sale I just can’t resist! All of my shoes finally arrived from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I’m giving you the sizing tips that I wish I had known prior to ordering.
When I ordered my shoe picks during the pre-sale it was before we could view them online and I didn’t have time to try on in-store so I just “winged it”. The downfall of that was by the time I received them the sizes I needed were already sold out, so I’m saving you from the mistakes I made!
Obviously I wasn’t afraid of trying out the snakeskin print this year!
So, I first ordered these in a 7.5 and when I tried them on I thought that I’m going to need an 8. Thank goodness for Nordstrom’s free shipping and returns because it makes it so easy to swap out sizes. I ordered the 8 in the grey to try [snakeskin sold out in under 10 seconds] and they’re too loose. So, I’m keeping the 7.5! I’m not a huge flat person, but when I say it feels like you’re walking on memory foam, they’re legit!
With the pointed toe and perfect block heel these booties give the perfect “western sass” to your fall outfits. I used to be a pretend cowgirl back in the day, but these are as close to cowboy boots I get anymore. With the heel height I went with an 8 in these and they’re perfect! Sometimes booties like this can hit and rub against my upper ankle, but no ankles were injured in the making of this blog post!
Last year I bought my first pair of wedge sneakers [gasp!] and loved them. They were the Blondo hi-top wedges that are back again this year! Check them out because they are waterproof which is perfect if you have a monsoon season like us! Since I have the tan in the Blondo’s I grabbed the black in these Caslon sneakers. I first tried a 7.5 and swapped out for an 8 in these. Super comfy, and be prepared to see these constantly with my Spanx leggings!
My boy Vince never disappoints with his sandals/booties! I’ve had a hard time finding another pair to replace the ones I got from two anniversary sales ago, but these have done the trick! Even though they have a slight heel, I stuck with my 7.5 and they were a perfect Cinderella fit!
Now, these booties I feel have been kept a little secret throughout the sale. It’s hard to see in this picture, but there’s a solid black snakeskin embossing on these that add great texture. These are my first pair of Jeffery Campbell shoes and they are comfy. I’m not just meaning I can wear them to a meeting comfy, I mean an all day shopping extravaganza comfy! They also come in a true snakeskin color. The 7.5 worked perfectly for me.
These were the snakeskin booties that when I first saw them I said “These are the ones!”. However, I’m having a tough time narrowing down between these and the Vince ones. I love the extra stud detail, but I do worry a little about them rubbing my ankles some. I ordered these in a 7.5 and I 100% need an 8 to keep my tootsies from crying.
Are you a boot or bootie kinda gal? I’ve definitely converted to a bootie girl and can’t wait for our temps to drop a bit to start wearing my new shoes! Be sure to share your favorite shoe purchases from the sale with me over on Facebook or Instagram!
