Next week, May 6-10 is Teacher’s Appreciation Week. I think the timing of this week that we need to show them how much we as parents appreciate them for taking such good care of our kiddos in the last few weeks before summer vacation is perfect. In all reality, these men and women who are often parents themselves spend more time with our kiddos than us (the actual parents).
As a parent, my own three kids can often drive me to drink so I can’t imagine having about 20 of them a day for 7 hours 9 months out of the year that heaven forbid you try to correct “Johnny” for spitting in class and end up with a threat from Mom because her boy Johnny walks on water. Talk to any teacher, that stuff seriously goes down! Last year I asked a lot of teacher friends what their favorite gifts to receive are… can you guess? Booze and gift cards. Sending booze to school to teachers often isn’t the best idea. Trust me, I asked our superintendent once if it was allowed and got a big fat NO! So instead, I often give gifts to go along with their favorite drink choices. Examples: wine glasses, can koozies, etc.
If you’re a procrastinator like me, here are some gift ideas you can still have with FREE two-day shipping!
There you have it, a few ideas to thank those who are making such a wonderful impact on our kiddos lives. If you’re a teacher and there’s something you love receiving let me know and I’ll pass it along! 😉
I think any teacher would love these gifts especially the Target gift card. Teachers can find some affordable finds at Target!
Yes, it’s truly a great spot loved by many teachers!
