Monochromatic: containing or using only one color. Outside of wearing all black on occasion I’ve never really done the whole monochromatic outfits much. However, there have been times that I’ve been wearing jeans and wanted to wear a blue top. But how do you style monochromatic outfits? Do you go for the same exact color top and bottom or to you mix washes?

- Don’t be afraid to be all matchy matchy. However, you want to choose plain pieces. Don’t do a bottom with graphics then a top with graphics in a different tone.
- Keep it simple.
- Add accessories to add an extra pop.
- Mix tones and textures.
- Basic is best.

If you need a little extra push, grab a chambray top and pair it with a pair of denim jeans that are just a pinch darker or lighter than the chambray.
I hope this post can help ease your worries of wearing the same color on top and bottom. Don’t worry, just use my tips and go about it the right way!
