Some kitchen tools are nice-to-have. Others? They practically live on the counter because you use them so often you forget they weren’t always part of your routine. These are the kitchen favorites I reach for more than my phone—and considering how much I text, scroll, and online shop, that’s saying something!
1. The Oil Sprayer That Also Pours
This little gem has totally replaced my old bottles of cooking spray. It’s a sleek glass bottle with two ways to use it! Spray for a light mist when you’re roasting veggies or making eggs, and pour for recipes that need a more generous drizzle. It keeps the mess (and the waste) to a minimum, and I swear it makes me want to cook more just because it feels so easy.
2. The Mix & Chop Tool
If you’ve never used one of these, you’re missing out. It looks a little like a spatula and a potato masher had a baby, and it’s amazing for breaking up ground meat, mashing potatoes, or mixing sauces right in the pan. I used to dread browning ground beef for tacos … now it’s oddly satisfying. Bonus: it’s dishwasher safe, so no scrubbing.
3. The Handheld Electric Can Opener
This thing is magic. No awkward twisting, no sharp edges—just pop it on the top of the can, press the button, and let it do its thing. It’s small enough to tuck in a drawer and has saved me so much time (and my wrists) when I’m making soups, beans, or anything from a can.
These kitchen favorites I reach for more than my phone aren’t just handy; they’ve turned everyday cooking into something I actually look forward to. And that’s a win in my book.
I couldn’t stop at just three, so here are a couple more gadgets that have earned a permanent spot in my kitchen:
Electric Warming Tray
Electric Pepper & Salt Grinders
Snap & Strain
Turkish Kitchen Towels
When it comes to kitchen gadgets, I’m all for trying anything that makes dinner easier! Do you have a kitchen gadget you just can’t live without? Leave it in the comments!
