In the summer I try to give myself a little more grace when it comes to a work/relaxation balance. This year on vacation I was strict with my work time and only allowed myself to work for about two hours in the morning before heading down to the beach. That way, I could be more present with family and friends while enjoying the white sand and clear blue water and finally cross a few books off my summer reading list.
I was excited to read Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover while on vacation. I’ve read a few of Colleen’s books and really like them. This one I would consider one of her “lighter” reads which made it perfect for a vacation read.
While reading on vacation or by the pool, I always prefer to read on my Kindle Paperwhite. You can store so many books on that little device so it makes packing much easier. Another thing I like about reading on my Kindle near water is the little splashes aren’t going to hurt it as it would a paper book.

I LOVE reading and am always looking for books to add to my list of must reads, so thanks for sharing! The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid was a good read, but you can never go wrong with any book by Colleen Hoover that’s for sure!
