The time of year has come. The day I set my alarm for 2:45 am so I can start shopping the new fall arrivals at the best prices. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is THE biggest shopping sale for Nordstrom. I’ll be honest, I’ve only been a true Nordstrom shopper for about four years now. I started out by always shopping through the Hautelook app and Nordstrom Rack. Because we didn’t have a Nordstrom necessarily close to us I always thought it was all high end and not wallet friendly. That is totally not the case. I mean, yes you can buy a $1,000 pair of Jimmy Choos or Gucci bag there, but you can also grab great quality tops for under $50 and jeans under $100. One of the biggest reasons I love Nordstrom so much is the free shipping and free returns on any order. That means even if you buy a sale necklace for $5 it ships for free, and you forgot to return it for 6 months they will still take it back. (I’m the world’s worst person at remembering to return items.)
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (#nsale) isn’t they typical season closeout sale. This is the sale where you can go ahead and grab new fall arrivals that are usually priced approximately 40% off. Last year is when I took the plunge on the Zella leggings and Barefoot Dreams cardigan. Those were two items that I always heard tons of rave reviews, but couldn’t figure out if they were really worth all the hype. Obviously if you’ve been following me at least since the sale last year you’ll know that those are two of my most worn pieces through the fall and winter. I basically wake up in the morning and put my cardigan on every day.
Here’s the brands I’d watch for during the sale!
Early access to the sale for card holders only begins on Thursday, July 12th at 3am EST/ 12am PST. General admission if you’d like to call it begins on July 20th. It’s crazy how fast so many things sell out even on the first day. Last year Nordstrom’s website actually crashed on the first day which resulted in them giving 10x rewards points for all orders placed that day. I can honestly say it’s worth it to be a cardmember for the early access, and if you’re the person that doesn’t like to have a lot of store cards you aren’t required to use your Nordstrom credit card while shopping the sale. You may use any card of your choice.
Enjoy your shopping, and make sure to share all your favorite finds!
