Well, my first order that I placed from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has arrived. I didn’t have to set my alarm for 3am to shop because I thought I’d relive my younger days and just stay up all night. Let me just tell you, I paid for it the next day because it’s not like it used to be. I had to be back up at 7:30 am and a day full of running and errands. I still feel the effects of that Wednesday morning! LOL
I’m kinds glad this is all I had in the grand scheme of my orders to work with today, because it took me three hours and I was in a total sweat by the end and ready for a drink. I’m totally counting it towards a work out! 😉 So be prepared to see the good, the bad and well, just everything.
Circle Cardi (XS/S)/ Tee (XS)/ Jeans (26)/ Booties(8)
Last year I bought my first Barefoot Dreams cardigan and have been hooked ever since. I’d even call it my everyday “house coat”. I decided to try last year to see if it was worth all the hype… and YES it is! These are my first pair of AG jeans and I’ll now be buying them anytime they are on sale. They feel like butter leggings! These Vince Camuto booties are super cute with the bit of lace up design. I didn’t grab a pair of little black booties last year so these were a necessity for me!
Sweatshirt (XS)/ Tee (XS)/ Leggings (S)/ Booties (8)
I grabbed this same Asymmetrical sweatshirt last year in the plum color and it sold out, so I definitely wanted to add another color to my closet. It looks great both zipped or open. I snagged the Spanx faux leather leggings last year around Christmas and love them. (Just be sure to wash inside out.) From the moment I saw these UGG wedge booties in the sale catalog I knew they’d be a top seller. I grabbed the black since I already have the Sorel lace wedges in the grayish/brown color. These wedges are awesome! They even have the comfy UGG fur in the bottom of the boot. They are very easy to pull on and off which is a bonus!
Top (XS)/ Moto Leggings (XS)/ Booties (8)
I’m just calling this my winter date night outfit. I’m gonna be darn sure hubby takes me somewhere good too! 😉 This top is very different from anything I own and maybe that’s why I was so drawn to it, but it screamed Christmas Party to me. It will be necessary to wear a cami under it. I’m just wearing a nude strapless bra and from a distance you can’t tell, but up close the holes in the top hit the wrong places to get away without one. I couldn’t remember what size of the Spanx leggings I had ordered last year so I went with the XS. Let me say, when I held them up I was pretty sure they’d fit Madison. Well, without much struggle they went on and smooth and hide everything. I actually think the XS does better for me than the S. I thought these booties would make a great more dressy boot, especially when I wasn’t feeling pumps. I thought the price point (Under $70) was great for them also.
Tee (XS)/ Cardigan (XS)/ Jeans (26)/ Booties (8)
If you’ve been around, I’m sure you’ve picked up that I’m a pretty big Free People fan. This open stitch cardigan is fabulous! The open stitch is enough to even throw on in the summer over a dress or layer it up in the winter. These are my first pair of Wit & Wisdom jeans and I can’t get over how fabulous they are for being under $50!
Top (XS)/ Leggings (XS)/ Sneakers (7.5)
So, if you can’t tell my all the pictures I’m OBSESSED with these shoes. These are the first pair of Cole Haan’s I’ve ever owned, but I’m seriously in love. These are a 7.5 which is my normal shoe size. Sometimes I go up to an 8 in boots or tennis shoes, but I could’ve gone with a 7 in these. I’m so surprised at the extra room I had in the 7.5. And, can we talk about how these leggings can go from red hot date night, to a more causal look? I love how versatile they are! This top is just a great basic with a little extra pizazz in the sleeves.
Top (XS)/ Jeans (2)/ Heels (38.5)/ Heels (wallet friendly)
Taking this top down a notch and pairing it with some bootcut jeans. It’s been a few years since I’ve bought bootcut jeans, but you’re going to start seeing a little more flare this season. I have a Kut from the Kloth denim jacket and love it so I knew I’d like the jeans. Many said you need to size down in the jeans, however I’m usually a 26, and the size 2 is working well for me here.
Top (XS)/ Jeans (26)/ Booties (7.5)
The color and stud detail on these booties give me all the heart eyes. I’m seriously contemplating exchanging my Vince Camuto booties I got in black for these in the black. I sized down to a 7.5 since wearing much of a sock is minimal. I thought I may have a little extra room, but there was no heel slipping while walking around.
Top (XS)/ Jeans (26)/ Wedge Sneakers (8)
This top is just a great basic. I can’t get enough of the twist front (mock tuck) look. There are so many styles of these wedge sneakers out for this fall. It just makes for a “little bit more” on a casual outfit. I’ve never tried the Blondo brand, but I was drawn to the double zipper and the fact they are a waterproof suede.
Pullover (XS)/ Jeans (26)/ Booties (8)
Calling all pumpkin patch, PSL lovers and anyone who loves fall. This outfit is perfect for you. You’re going to be surprised how warm this pullover is! No jacket necessary, seriously! I bought a few pairs of BP booties last year and was so impressed with the quality for the cost. These don’t disappoint either. You can wear them either folded down in the front or up. I prefer folded down, however I think I could take the steamer to them and make the front stay up nicely!
Tee (XS) / Jeans (26)/ Booties (8)
BP tees are something you NEED to load up on, especially when they are on sale because they are so budged friendly to begin with. They are a little longer in the front and back so you can even tie it up or give it a little tuck.
Sweatshirt (S)/ Leggings (XS)/ Shoes (7.5)
I grabbed this sweatshirt last year in gray in an XS. I don’t want to say it shrank, but possibly it did after a few washes and the arms seemed shorter. This year I decided to bump up to a small for a more relaxed fit and I like it much better. Also, love the color! (Under $30) Last nsale I decided to give the Zella leggings a try, again to see if they were worth all the hype. Well, if you’re after a legging that holds everything still while working out (or chasing after the kids), and doesn’t become see through after a dozen washes then you need to take the plunge!
Cardigan (XS)/ Tee (XS)/ Jeans (26)/ Booties (8)
Keep an eye on this cardigan because it already SOLD OUT, it was loved so much in the first 2 days! It’s not too heavy and is super soft. Giving you a few other views of these booties. The heel is a great height for all day wear and walking.
Well, that’s a wrap! What are your favorites and what are you still looking to grab? I’ll share my other pieces as I receive them. The only bad news of this haul is for my husband. I fare warned him before he went into the bedroom that I wasn’t keeping everything… well, now I’ll just be gradually filtering everything into the closet.
