Valentine’s Day isn’t really a holiday we go crazy with around here. Definitely, when I was younger I loved Andrew sending me flowers and extra special treats. However, as I’ve gotten older I ask him not to waste money on flowers priced double that one day in February that usually don’t last for a week. Madison and I decided to treat the boys to a dessert board for Valentine’s Day while they were out and about.

Since we’ve been home so much more lately I’m slowly turning a little more into a Pinterest mom and coming up with things for us to enjoy all together. Madison has been on a baking kick lately so we figured we’d give our creativity a go with a chocolate charcuterie board. I baked the peanut butter blossoms, but Madison handled everything else. Fortunately, these were all things we had on hand minus the candy that I picked up at Target yesterday.

Madison did an awesome job laying out the board all on her own. We used Ghirardelli melting chocolates that we had leftover from making hot cocoa bombs. She melted the chocolates then dipped a few of her favorites- strawberries, Oreos, and pretzel crisps.

A friend gifted me this board for Christmas a few years ago and I love the personalized touch. Don’t have a board? Here’s a few to check out.

I hope you and your loved ones spread a little extra love this week and indulge in a few extra treats. Happy Valentine’s Day!
