Black leggings are a true closet staple… but there are thousands and thousands of brands and styles out there. And if you do a simple search on Amazon there are over 10,000 options to choose from! So, I’m here to help you out and let you know out of a few I decided to try which ones are amazing and which ones suck.
When I’m searching for leggings the key point I’m looking for is comfort and knowing they aren’t going to catch lint and fuzz balls as soon as I put them on. I’m not a huge exerciser so compression isn’t a huge necessity for me.
I’ve had these 90 Degree by Reflex leggings for over a year. They are definitely more of a compression style in my book. I still wear them pretty frequently, but I can say after a year they don’t wash up as nice. They easily catch the dog hair and lint from other clothes.
If I were to splurge on a pair of Lululemon leggings I would imagine they would feel like these. The CRZ Yoga leggings have been a pretty big hit on Amazon so I figured I should give them a go. They don’t have a ton of compression which is A-OK with me. They are a super smooth material which I feel will wash up great. I’ve worn them multiple times in just this week that I’ve had them!
Ok, I saw the word slimming with these and 20,000 reviews and figured they’d be amazing. I was not impressed. First off, they didn’t feel like regular leggings. They almost had a ribbed style to them. They were super high waist (like almost right below my boobs). If you’re after a pair of leggings to suck everything in, you’ll maybe want to try them. For me personally, I wasn’t a fan.
Black leggings are definitely an article of clothing many of us can’t live without. I hope my two cents worth helps you a little bit the next time you type black leggings into Amazon’s search bar.
