I’m pretty sure there couldn’t have been a tougher season to put myself in a bathing suit after spending 3 months at home and eating and drinking my feelings. But, because of that, I turned to Amazon to search for some new one piece swimsuits. I’ll be honest, besides my Becca suit I haven’t worn one pieces since I was a little girl. But, I’ve found that the older my son is getting [now 13] and he has friends over I don’t feel overly comfortable in a bikini. So, I wanted to snag some swimwear on Amazon to have on hand and also have my two pieces for when it’s just the family hanging by the pool.
Madison has also fallen for the high waisted bikini trend which is actually hard to find for tweens so she did some digging on Amazon and found one to try along with a one piece!
Sizing Tips: I’m 5’3″, 112 lbs and a 34C cup. I ordered a medium in each of these suits.

I actually have so many blogger friends that have this suit and can say I haven’t seen a shape or size that it doesn’t look flattering on. Aside from that, it comes in a ton of colors! I love ruffle detail that goes all around and it has just a hint of ruching to help hide those extra chocolate chip cookies I enjoyed during quarantine!
So, I’ll be honest. I was very hesitant getting this print because sometimes you never know how leopard print will show up, especially when it comes to Amazon. If it’s a decent seller it’s “spot on”, but if not it may look like a pattern your two year old drew. But, this was good. I was impressed. With that said though, I liked the other print I got that is below.
I’m normally not a blue person, but I really fell in love with this suit! The black stripes are actually crocheted sections. It ties around the back and around the neck along with full bum coverage!
I’m pretty sure I saw this on someone on Instagram and loved the snakeskin along with the high waisted bottoms. The only downfall is they’re more of a cheeky cut that I’m just not a fan of after birthing 3 kiddos and not being good at working out. Maybe after I master the buns of steel workout dvd’s…
I loved this suit! It had structured cups, great high waist with great ruching in the front and a full coverage bum. I’m usually needing a size medium in tops and small in bottoms so I went with a medium in this but really needed a small in the top, so I’d say it runs a little big. I’m exchanging for a small!
And, the bikini that stole the show last year is still one of my favorites! I was worried about the felt tassels, but it held up from last year and still looks great this year! I’m wearing a 4. I could’ve used a size bigger in the top, but that’s the downfall of suits sold as a set.
First off, I’m extremely jealous of this gals tan, but she did spend almost 8 hours in the pool the other day… She picked out these suits all on her own and really loved this one. The cutout on the side she was was “super fun”!
She usually stays on top of trends, hence wanting a high waisted bikini. Believe it or not, they’re hard to come by for 11 year old girls. This one instantly put a smile on her face and I know will be worn all summer long on repeat!
