Madison’s been on a kick lately with making homemade lemonade to where I’ve had to start buying the big bags of lemons every week so I’m left with a few for my water. Usually she’ll just squeeze half a lemon in her water and add some sugar, but this time we made the real deal in a pretty pitcher.
Lemonade Ingredients
7 Lemons halved
4 oz of simple syrup
water and ice
We squeezed the lemons until we got 3/4c of lemon juice it took 13 halves. The remaining half we sliced for garnishing. Add Lemon juice to pitcher with ice and water. Finally add in the simple syrup to taste. Madison was the pro and likes hers a little on the sweet side so we used 4 oz of simple syrup. You can also make your own simple syrup with sugar and water if you don’t have any on hand. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
I turned mine in to an adult drink by adding a splash of raspberry rum!
Cheers!
