Do you ever just run out of everyday clothes? I’m not talking about those special pieces for date night or when you’re heading out to impress. I mean the pieces you don’t mind wearing when your headed to pick up groceries then possibly come home and mow the yard or do your weekly cleaning tasks at the house. [Which usually turn in to monthly cleaning tasks for me in the summer.] I was in need for some new “everyday” pieces and snagged a few new pieces at Target while Parker was doing his summer workout training last week.
Don’t worry, I’m not coming in hot to share a bunch of pieces to max out your Redcard, but just a few easy updates that I can wear multiple ways!
“When Life Gives You Pineapples, Make Pína Coladas.” Or in my case, mix that with a strawberry daiquiri and make a Miami Vice! Umm, if you haven’t tried that summer favorite drink yet, add it to your list!
Graphic tees are seriously taking over, and in a way the more corny the saying, the more we love it! Maybe it’s just me, but whatever…
So, I’ve had a few blogger friends talk about this dress and I really wasn’t sure if I’d be a fan of the fit. I sized up to a small so it wasn’t a total bodycon style and I’ll be honest… I love it. Perfect for those grocery store runs with a top knot and add a denim jacket.
Not gonna lie… It’s been a long time since I’ve worn an off the shoulder top. It can sometimes be a pain in the butt if you’re encountering a lot of movement and keeping it properly on the shoulders, but I fell in love with these colors! A little coral, ivory and black was calling my name. I paired them with a pair of distressed black shorts and called it a day. I didn’t realize I was lacking plain black sandals this season this this pic. Don’t worry, I’m on it! 😉
Kind… If anything, be kind! It’s seriously something that has hit me hard this past weekend. [ Leopard definitely adds a little extra fun to the tank though.] There’s nothing that makes me more proud as a parent than hearing from my kids’ teachers that we’ve done something right and have been blessed with kind kids, especially when the going gets tough. I’d like to say they just got it from their Mama, but it comes from Dad too.
Whether I pair this tank with this fun tie waist shorts [that do have an elastic waist!] or my favorite pair of distressed jeans, I honestly feel I’m going to reach for it a bit just because of the “word” it gives. I did size up to a small here since the brand is known as a “junior” brand.
Have you found some new favorite everyday pieces? If so, be sure to share them!
