The day has come… It’s Amazon Prime Day! As I shared a few weeks ago, I’m pretty sure I have and obsession with Amazon. It’s just so simple to find what you’re usually looking for, at a decent price and get FREE 2-day shipping if you’re a Prime member. Yes, there is a fee for becoming a Prime member, however I more than justify the cost with the free shipping. Snag up a free 30 day trial of Amazon Prime to test out the waters before making the jump, and rack up on these Prime Day benefits.
Prime Day deals start out at 9pm EST on July 10th. HOWEVER, if you have an Alexa voice device, you can start checking out the deals at 7pm EST! I’m so thankful for our Nucleus intercom system that’s Alexa integrated right now!
What to watch for.
Amazon Devices! I’m anticipating great deals on Amazon devices. From Alexa, Kindles, and Firesticks. I’m watching for a Kindle for Kids for Madison. She loves to read, but she does sometimes struggle. The kids Kindle has vocabulary help and will give definitions on words they don’t understand and will also track those to follow up with later. I bought an Amazon Firestick for Jayden’s (my youngest) room last year before we had cable hooked up in there. It was great for his shows and I could put parental guidelines on it for what content he could watch. It’s also Netflix capable which the kids love. If you have or get the firestick, I strongly recommend checking out youtube and doing a search on what all you can do with the firestick it’s AMAZING!
Tech Devices! I’m hoping to snag up a new DSLR camera. I still have so much to learn in this blogging biz, but I know great pictures can make a world of difference. Plus, with the boys racing and playing sports and Madison dancing I’ve got a lot of great memories to catch. In the lead up ads and Prime Day deals section I’m watching a few Virtual Reality headsets. (May make great Christmas gifts) Bluetooth speakers and bluetooth earbuds. We all got the Dr Dre Beats earbuds for Christmas this past year, but I’m not overly crazy about them. The ear wrap makes it hard when wearing sunglasses to stay put. I’m hoping to grab another pair as I love listening to music while mowing. I remember last year there were some awesome deals on TV’s. I don’t necessarily know that we NEED one, however some deals are just too hard to pass up. LOL
For the Kids! I’ve never been the person who Christmas shops in July, however with the kids getting older, their Christmas lists are getting shorter, but the toys seem more expensive. I’m going to keep an eye on Xbox games and accessories for the boys, any kind of games for them all (You know… so they can play them once, not put the pieces back and never be able to play again) and books. Madison loves MO Williams books and I have a few of them on my watch list.
Around the house! I feel like my kitchen items are always the last to be updated. I recently purchased the Green Pan set and love it. I’m hoping to add a few more pieces to my collection. Kitchen knives. Dear Lord, you can barely cut a piece of bread with our knives. But, these are the things we always hate spending money on. So, hopefully there’s some great deals before I’m not able to even cut through butter. HAHA Something we really need is new luggage for our vacation to Destin, FL. I’m willing to splurge on the good hard shell luggage this time. I’m so sick of every time we go on a flight our suitcases get a new tear in them. It’s so frustrating when they are never cheap. On our flight back from our honeymoon, Andrew’s suitcase got a hole in it and was literally soaked and wet. No joke, his underwear and shirts were hanging out of it when it came down the carousel!
For the Guys! As I shared in my Father’s Day post, men generally seem so hard to buy for. So again, back to my Christmas shopping in July I’m going to check out any good tools and gadgets for the guys. Even check out their clothing and shoes. I just got Andrew and the boys a pair of Sanuk slip ons for vacation. Parker has worn holes in his and asked for a new pair. However, Parker’s size was a better deal through Nordstrom, but Andrew & Jayden’s sizes were much cheaper from Amazon!
For the Ladies! Keep an eye in beauty and fashion! I’m going to watch for more Makeup Erasers and makeup brushes for Madison and I. It looks like there’s going to be some deals on cosmetic organizers, maybe that will help keep my vanity in better shape. WET BRUSHES! I swear I’ve bought 10 of these bad boys, however I can never find one. These are by far the best brushes ever! I’m also going to be checking out the hair dryers. I had to use Madison’s little travel one she got for Christmas last year because mine basically died. My only suggestion if buying actual beauty products, definitely watch the reviews. I usually steer clear as they can sometimes be damaged and expired. I’ve not bought much clothing/shoes for myself from Amazon, but I’m going to keep an eye out for swimsuit coverups, and pajamas!
Overall Amazon deals.
There are some great savings listed in the lead up days for Amazon services. Let me know what you’re shopping for on Prime Day, it may just be something I need but forgot! 😉
