This week I’ve started getting out of my funk. We had two days of sunshine which in turn makes me productive. Today was 65 degrees out so I thought I’d take advantage of the nice weather to head out for a little sale shopping. The main reason for my trip was to take Andrew’s old iPhone that Parker just found in the field from last summer to see if we could get if replaced. Of course I went to the local mall that doesn’t have an Apple store. So in turn, that gave me more time to do some shopping.
So, good for me – not so much the hubby I hit up the 40% off sale that started today at Express. They had some really cute Spring transition pieces. So, the pictures below aren’t top quality but that’s what your getting with this “dressing room diaries”.
Keep in mind, I wouldn’t normally pair this sweater with a black cami, but I really like it for spring. I’m wearing an XS here, but ended up purchasing a small just because it wasn’t long enough in the front for me. I’d prefer it a little more slouchy. I did order a pair of high waisted jeans yesterday that I think will work great with it. Unfortunately those jeans weren’t on sale.
This top was a definite purchase! It’s a soft cozy material with the ability to take it up a notch. I’m wearing in XS, and it also comes in different colors. This top will be perfect to dress up for work or dress it more casual, just switch up the shoes.
This was a cute basic top that’s also available in many colors. Nice sleeve length for spring. I’m wearing a Small here and could’ve done the XS. I also wouldn’t wear the black cami and bralette, but you get what you get here. LOL
I LOVED this denim jacket. I’m wearing a medium because it was the smallest size left in store, but I’m ordering it in a small. The wash color was perfect and I loved the double frayed hem. This tee was also a cute piece that came in many colors and great for layering.
My biggest concern with this top is if I add a piece of camo to my closet my husband and boys are going to think I need to start hunting with them. This Mama just doesn’t have it in her! I prefer to stay back and make sure something warm is cooked for them when they get back. This asymmetrical button shirt/jacket was pretty cute though. I really liked the ruched short sleeves. It also looks really cute just left open.
I really liked this dress! This definitely came home with me. I will say that I’m wearing an extra small here. I didn’t realize there was a side zipper until I tried getting it back off over my top half for a good 5 minutes. Let me just say, if there were cameras in that dressing room whoever was watching had time to pop the popcorn and have a good laugh. I did bring this dress home, but went with the small. It was a bit to tight in the shoulders and across the little ladies than I prefer. But I felt between a pair of neutral open toe booties, heels or flats I’d get a lot of use out of this dress.
First off, let me just say it took more than one glass of wine before I convinced myself to post this selfie. I did bring home this hat because it’s basically my life story of my life. (Or one of my dear friends lives 😉 not mentioning any names) They only had this one and the “Champagne Superstar” hat in store. I’m going to be ordering “Blame it on Champagne” online.
Here are some more goodies that I like the looks of. I didn’t get a chance to see some of these in store or try them on as I was on a mad dash to Homegoods. That spring fever hit me good today! Make sure to take advantage of all these newbies at 40% off!
